Ausflug - A little trip to the land of cross stich

Ein kleiner Ausflug in das "Land des Kreuzstichs"! Meine Schwiegermutter hat mir vor über 30 Jahren ein wunderschönes Stickbild geschenkt: eine Vorlage der Filma Lanarte, das Alphabeth mit altmodischen, spielenden Kindern verziert.
Ich hatte damals weder Geduld noch Zeit, noch die Fertigkeit ein solch großes Werk in Kreuzstich zu sticken. Trotzdem habe ich es durch alle Umzüge und Widrigkeiten des Lebens mit mir getragen. JETZT IST DIE ZEIT!!! Ich hoffe meine Tochter und mein Enkelkind freuen sich darüber es bald(???) geschenkt zu bekommen.

A little trip to the "land of cross stich". My mother-in-law gave me about 30 years ago a wonderful picture of the alphabeth  with playing children of "Lanarte". At that time I didn´t have the time the patience nor the knowledge to do a big piece like that. NOW IT`S THE RIGHT TIME!!! I hope my daughter and my grandchild will be happy to have it soon.

Möbiusschals zu stricken paßt in meine momentane Situation. Sie sind ganz einfach, ich kann sie überall mitnehmen und spätestens nach drei Tagen ist einer fertig. Möbiusschals go perfect with my situation now. They are easy to knit I can take them with me anywhere and it takes a maximum of three day until they are finished. I believe we are all connected. I don´t meen iphones or computers. Like fish in the water communicate without making noices we people can "feel waves, moods etc." Sometimes we realize it only from our beloved but sometimes also in general.
At the moment there is a "knitting mood" going over our country - smile. I see knitting women - and a few man - everywhere. I feel very much connected to that!!! Knitting like crazy, every free minute...

Stranger?

Sometimes I look at my Blog as a stranger - either from another country when I´m on vacation, or from my workplace where I am only re-acting not living....and I am surprised...BY ME!!!

Ich kann nicht mehr ander: die "Langsamkeit" des Stickens fasziniert mich. Tief versunken Stich für Stich, Perle für Perle das Bild wachsen zu sehen und die Zeit zu vergessen begeistert mich Tag für Tag. Zur Zeit stelle ich Filz nur noch her um ihn zu besticken.

I can´t help it: the "slowness" of embroidery is fascinating.
